This message aims to protect our lake and its swimmers.
Ducks are certainly beautiful, but their droppings are a major source of pollution for the lake and an excellent fertilizer for algae! In addition, they increase the risk of causing swimmer’s itch (red dots on the skin).
Rest assured that these beautiful wild waterfowl find everything they need in nature to survive.
For the sake of our lake, let’s refrain from feeding waterfowl.
