URGENT AND IMPORTANT MEETING
To all property owners of Lac à la Truite
SUBJECT: Lac à la Truite declared flood zone
Your association (APLT) learned on Tuesday July 16, through the media, that Lac à la Truite has been declared a flood zone by the Quebec Government.
The APLT is already in communication with the authorities to reverse this decision. Mr André Lavoie and Mr Guy Crevier were mandated by the APLT Board of Directors to follow up with the municipality of La Minerve and the government.
It goes without saying that immediate and concrete actions must be taken as soon as possible to reverse this decision. As a first step, the APLT must send a letter to the municipality to express its disagreement with the government’s decision. This letter must be accompanied by signatures from all property owners of Lac à la Truite (petition).
This decision can have significant impact to your property, so it is IMPERATIVE that you sign this petition.
We are holding a special meeting this Saturday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at Parc Lachapelle regarding this topic and urge you to come and sign this petition. Please note that the Mayor of La Minerve, Mr. Jean Pierre Monette, will be present at this meeting.
Thank you,
Carole Erdelyon, President
APLT
