Summary of what the APLT does

OBJECTIVES OF THE APLT
Protect the environment and the water quality of the lake and watersheds
  • Make quality analysis (data on the website)
  • Monitor flooding and daily data published on the website
  • Participate with a biologist from CRE Laurentides to identify the aquatic plants in the lake and check the thickness of the periphyton (microscopic algae)
  • Clean and clear obstacles in rivers to allow kayaking or canoeing
  • Watch the Lac des Mauves to prevent the watermilfoil from descending the river
  • Plan and manage the stocking of fish
Enhance the quality of life in general
  • Lachapelle park maintenance (cleaning, lawn mowing, painting, etc.)
  • Maintenance of park games
  • Maintenance and cleaning of the dry toilet in the park
  • Maintenance of the welcome sign (painting) and landscaping at the entrance to the lake
  • Organize activities (Ex: corn roast, coffee gathering)
Communicate with members on topics of interest
  • Distribute useful and relevant information continuously on the website (aplt.ca)
  • Distribute a newsletter
  • Represent Lac à la Truite with:
    • the municipality
    • the grouping of associations of La Minerve lakes

ALL THESE ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT BY VOLUNTEERS WHO DEDICATE TIME AND ENERGY TO THE WELLNESS OF OUR COMMUNITY AND TO THE HEALTH OF OUR LAKE.
